Well. Its not just for art lovers. Its for anyone looking for a top up of tranquility. I visited just last week for the first time. As a native Glaswegian, i simply hadnt understood the local, national and international significance of the House. Its a beautiful concept; Charles Rennie Mackintosh submitted competition drawings of an elegant mansion fit for an art lover over 100 years ago...and its been created in real life in Bellahouston Park. Simples.
But yet, there's more. The House itself is visual chocolate; my eyes loved the flavour, especially the music room which feels like you've stepped into another more elegant time. To finish off, the cafe is just a superb surprise. Its a great day out.
