The Time Capsule is one of Scotlands most prestigious leisure facilities, and is located within the heart of Lanarkshire just a short drive from the centre of Glasgow.
The leisure centre features an Ice Rink, Adventure Zone, ‘Tiny’ Tots Play Zone, Dry Sports Facilities, a state of the art Fitness Suite, together with a free form Leisure Pool and a 25 metre Swimming Pool.
Waterworld
Waterworld leisure fun pool will take you back in time, millions of years ago, through a landscape of steam, tidal waves, geysers, canals, waterfalls, a volcano, prehistoric monsters and plants.
The journey starts at the origins of time, high in the mist and rain. From here it’s on to the Primeval Swamp, a pool of green water, bubbling steam and surrounded by lush vegetation and prehistoric animals.
Down a water chute, you will reach the start of the River of Life where the water is in constant eruption due to those pesky geysers and volcanic eruptions. A further chute, surrounded by waterfalls, leads to the rapids and the origins of man.
The River of Life also includes a completely recreational element: twin 100m flumes and a rubber ring ride, all of which start high in the building and splash down into two separate pools. (To use the flumes and rubber ring ride you must be a competent swimmer and be at least 4 years of age, and those between 4-8 years must be accompanied by an adult).
Ice Age
Ice Age is a medium-sized ice rink, which has a full disco package: lights, turntables and control equipment where you can ice-dance to all the latest chart hits.
Ice Age offers a wide range of activities for the young and old alike: Skating lessons for adults and children, Ice hockey, and for the really young children the Ice Cool Sunday Club is lots of fun in a safe environment.
Adventure Zone
The Adventure Zone is a multi-level play area for children age 5 years to 11 years. It has giant slides, time tunnels, ball pools, aerial runway and biff and bash canyon; great fun for any kid!
There is also a Tiny Tots Play Zone, for children under the age of 5. This is a little more conservative than the older kids adventure zone, with log ramps, bash bags, spiders webs, snakes and ball pools. Less chance for the big kids to knock your little one around!
Fitness Suite
The Fitness Suite facility is host to state of the art fitness equipment, with all cardiovascular machines complete with integrated TV screens. The space is fully air conditioned with a wide range of resistance machines. If your aim is to adopt a healthier lifestyle, toning up or simply keeping fit there is a qualified fitness team on hand to help you achieve your personal goals.
The fitness class timetable is packed full with both cardio and toning classes available. The ever popular Les Mills group fitness classes are also available including Body Pump, Body Balance, Body Jam and Body Attack.
Other facilities
There is a cafe available to stifle your thirst or hunger after a busy day in the pool, ice rink or gym. Childrens parties are available in Waterworld or Ice Age, and group discounts are also available.
Disabled access
The Time Capsule has disabled toilets and changing facilities throughout the building and serveral lift services throughout the three main floor areas. Waterworld has a disabled hoist allowing access to the Monster Pool and River Rapids. A disabled hoist is also available in the 25m Swimming Pool. Disabled car parking spaces are also available.
Time capsule is a great day out with the kids been about 10 times and had great fun every time.would defo recommend. Love swimming and the ice rink.hope to be back soon
Is the ice rink open on 28/12/13 and at what times
I cant understand why it is legal for my son to go swimming and to the ice rink unsupervised age 8 yrs.A child cannot be left in the house without an adult at 8 yrs,but I can drop him off at the swimming and allow him to be alone dress and undress in changing rooms ,use the pool then go iceskating (,which I have seen some nasty falls happen where kids have been badly hurt on the ice) with out an adult use toilet facilities wander in or out and generally wander around without any supervision.? I reason that this, for the safety of the children should NOT be allowed..When only 3 yrs ago I could not take him and his brother swimming together as it was 1 child to 1 adult..then Bam..3yrs later and a small 8yrs old (and not a strong swimmer at that!!) can be dropped off alone????????
How much are adult ice skating lessons?

The time capsule is so so kool second best pool I’ve ever been to after the one at euro camp in France!
I want to put The Time Capsule into my own time capsule. I really loved it, ice rink, swimming pool, adventures and so much fun. There’s so much more fun to be had and it’s not just for kids, I’m 35 and my mum and I LOVED it. The Time Capsule is a place where I will remember so many happy memories and fun things. They also have a great hot chocolate in the cafe, have a swim and a treat afterwards. What a great, fun day out! I love the rides, they are thrilling and wild. What a wonderfully watery treat, everyday is a holiday at The Time Capsule. I moved to Glasgow because of The Time Capsule, I mean America’s great but I’ve never known anything to be as fun as TTC experience. I’m a capsuholic for fun! I’m writing this as I’ve only just got home from The Time Capsule and am definately planning on going tomorrow for some more adventure fun time. I LOVE YOU THE TIME CAPSULE!
Hi there, i just wanted to let you know that it was my daughters 5th birthday yesterday so we thought we would take her and her bigger sister swimming and thought this would have been verry enjoyable for her as she loves going swimming but as it was Ici cold it was not verry enjoyable at all, i would not usually bother complaining about this matter but thought i really should as its not the first time weve came through from glasgow and been dissapointed because of this , , and every other parent there said the same thing.. today my daughter has had to stay off school as she has had a runny nose and sore throat since being swimming and shes not happy as she had 100% attendance, i really hope you do something about this matter because i think you will loose a lot of your custome due to this ..
